The Science of the Thrive Approach
The Science of the Thrive Approach
The Thrive Approach is a way of supporting the social and emotional needs of children and young people that’s grounded in both experience and research.
At its heart is a simple idea: behaviour is communication. When a child is struggling, their behaviour is often telling us something about what they need. Thrive helps you understand that and shows you what to do next........
Intervention Support
Intervention Support
Alongside the taught curriculum, Salmons Brook offers a comprehensive intervention programme led by our dedicated Interventions team. These are personalised to address barriers to learning—whether academic, emotional or social—and include:
- Phonics and reading interventions
- Academic catch-up and mentoring
- Social communication and emotional regulation support
- SEMH and therapeutic programmes (e.g., ELSA, Zones of Regulation)
Interventions are targeted using EHCP outcomes, academic data, and staff referrals, ensuring pupils receive the right support at the right time.
