Performance Information
Salmons Brook School is a specialist school for students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) whose primary need is Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH).
Students follow personalised pathways designed to meet their individual needs, aspirations and destinations. Whilst some students achieve GCSE qualifications, others complete a range of vocational, functional skills and accredited courses appropriate to their individual programmes of study.
Due to the nature of our cohort and the personalised curriculum offered, national performance measures may not provide meaningful comparisons with mainstream schools. The school monitors and evaluates student progress through a combination of:
- Academic attainment and progress
- Progress towards EHCP outcomes
- Functional and vocational qualifications
- Attendance and engagement
- Personal development
- Social, emotional and mental health outcomes
- Preparation for adulthood outcomes
- Student destinations
Where performance information is published nationally for the school, this can be accessed through the Department for Education's Compare School and College Performance service.
